“No more cookie-cutter websites!”

That’s our motto at MJ Innovative Solutions.  There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to an effective website.  Depending on your organization’s needs, your website might be one or a combination of the following:

  • Online brochure – utilized by many professional and service firms, this site is a marketing tool that highlights a company’s skills and services and is intended to provide information that is useful to visitors in order to drive business to the firm.
  • Billboard – this information site is intended to be an advertising and public relations tool.  It may be as simple as a single page with contact information or it may be more complicated.
  • Commercial and e-commerce solutions – contains the features of the online brochure and billboard sites, yet allows the exchange of funds for purchases or donations.  These can be simple or extensive depending on the nature of the company or organization.
  • Organizations – used by professional associations, religious organizations, and civic groups… the list is endless.  These sites are used to keep a specific group of people informed of events and information and are often a public relations tool.
  • Specific purpose – for example, government, military, or educational.
  • Portals – once only used by large companies such as Yahoo, portals are now being used effectively by small companies to serve as an entry point for locations and websites all over the World Wide Web.
  • The sky is the limit!  As the World Wide Web has progressed, the internet has grown by leaps and bounds.  If you have the need to share information with someone else, chances are the internet help you with your goals.

When deciding whether a website is right for you, consider the following:

  • How your site fits into your overall marketing plan and goals
  • Clearly define why the site exists
  • What goals should the site help accomplish?
  • Your target audience (existing customers and potential customers)
  • The “look and feel” of your site and how it fits into your other branding efforts
  • How you will market the site once it is complete

If you take these steps first, the functionality necessary to have a successful site will be clear.  If your site is not easy to navigate, viewers will simply “click off.”  Technology is wonderful yet it can be counterproductive if used inappropriately.

If you are not sure, the team at MJ Innovative Solutions can guide you through the necessary decisions.  We take the time necessary to understand your needs and work closely with you throughout every project to ensure successful completion within budget and on schedule.
